Position Summary
Storhaug Engineering is seeking an experienced licensed Senior Professional Engineer (PE) to join our Civil Engineering Department’s leadership team, providing critical technical oversight, quality assurance, and project management leadership across our civil engineering portfolio.
The successful candidate will play a central role in elevating our quality control processes and ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
· Production Oversight & Project Management: Provide senior-level management and oversight for civil engineering production staff, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meeting client expectations.
· Quality Control & Assurance: Serve as the final technical reviewer for civil construction documents (CDs), plans, and specifications, providing the professional stamp and ensuring strict compliance with state regulations, local codes, and industry standards.
· Technical Risk Management: Apply technical knowledge to complex project elements (e.g., stormwater management, utility design, and site grading) to mitigate risk and ensure constructability.
· Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting, and mentorship to project managers and EITs, enhancing overall technical competency.
· Client & Agency Interface: Act as a senior technical representative during client meetings and negotiations with regulatory agencies for complex project approvals.

Requirements
Education & Licensure
· Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
· Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in the States of Washington and Idaho (or the ability to obtain it via reciprocity within six months).
Skills & Experience
· Minimum 5 years of progressive professional experience in land development, site civil engineering, or a related consulting environment.
· Experience serving in a Senior Review, Principal, or Quality Control leadership capacity.
· Expert-level technical proficiency in all facets of civil design, including grading, stormwater management, utility design, and site planning.
· Proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil 3D for review and quality checking.
· Ability to manage and provide oversight for multiple projects and engineering teams concurrently.
· Risk management, technical writing, and communication skills.
